El Campeonato Mundial Junior de Barcelona, que se disputó la semana pasada, dejó a la gallega Ana Peleteiro como gran sensación nacional después de que lograra , con 14,17 metros, el récord en triple salto y el campeonato del mundo.

Sin embargo, la atención en Internet se lo ha llevado Michelle Jenneke. Su baile antes de la carrera ha causado furor en Youtube, cuyo vídeo es uno de los más vistos en la última semana.

Antes de la carrera, la australiana se contonea, relaja músculos, sonríe, baila... Todo ello, para que la vallista de 19 años elimine tensiones antes de la carrera.

Michelle "Shelly" Jenneke (born June 23, 1993) is an athlete from Kenthurst, New South Wales, Australia, where she trained from the age of 10 on at the Cherrybrook Athletics Club. She holds several of the club's girls hurdling records. In July 2012, Jenneke became a global sports sensation despite having no record championship title to her credit, when her pre-race video footage was posted on the video social networking website YouTube. Winning her pre-final 100-meter heat first but failed to win the overall championship title. She was a part of Australia's delegation at the 2010 Singapore Youth Olympic Games, running the 100 meter hurdles and the women's medley relay; in the hurdles, she came in second, and the medley relay team came in fourth.

On July 15, 2012, Jenneke placed fifth in the 2012 IAAF World Junior Championships 100 meter hurdles.
